John Congemi oversees talent and leadership development at Marvin, a window and door manufacturer based in Warroad. Marvin has more than doubled in size in recent years, requiring evolved talent management and development capabilities. Under Congemi’s leadership, Marvin introduced a new enterprise-wide talent review process that aligns the performance and potential of each team member throughout the organization, identifying employees who can be developed internally to fill leadership positions as they become available. Recently he spearheaded the design and implementation of transformative leadership development programs, resulting in better-prepared employees. A key component of Congemi’s talent support strategy is an in-house coaching practice, offering certified coaching to employees at all levels of the organization, saving the company more than $350,000 last year.
