Following the Great Recession, Chistianna Finnern recognized a need for legal services in the health care regulatory and transactional sectors. Determined to add this practice to her growing litigation career, Finnern created a new team that specializes in representing clients before state and federal agencies, governmental boards, and state legislatures. Finnern has established herself as a local and national leader in health law, representing businesses and providers in regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and payer litigation. Over the past year, Finnern was selected to lead Winthrop & Weinstine’s regulatory, government relations, intellectual property, and specialty tax group, a team of 35 attorneys, lobbyists, and tax advisors, and one of the Minneapolis firm’s core practices. She is active in the American Health Law Association and several other industry organizations.
