New Hope-based paper, packaging, and workplace solutions company Liberty Diversified International is one of the country’s largest family-owned businesses. Industry veteran Greg Theis (not family) became CEO in August 2022. LDI has been growing thanks to acquisitions and the pandemic-driven demand for shipping. With the company expanding into new markets, notably Chicago, Theis sees opportunities for more growth. “We’re the biggest of the little guys and the littlest of the big guys,” he says. He’s focusing on mid-tier customers that need a larger packaging supplier but that also value family-business friendliness.
