Cecilia Stanton Adams left her leadership role at Allianz Life in 2021 to launch The Diversity Institute, fueled by her passion to create access to mentoring and standards of excellence for professionals in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). As with any field, DEI professionals need coaching and mentorship for a thriving career, says Stanton Adams. Based in Minneapolis, The Diversity Institute offers a six-week program to prepare professionals who want to launch or advance in a DEI career. The Diversity Institute has already graduated three cohorts during its pilot year and plans to launch four sessions of The Art & Science of DEI in January, plus a new program for individuals who want to launch a DEI consulting practice.
