Loffler Companies has evolved alongside 40 years of changing business technology. Now James is taking the helm from his father, Jim, marking the first CEO succession in the family-owned company’s history.
What lesson from your father shapes your leadership?
People come first. The way he invested in people, built genuine relationships, supported employees, and shared credit for success left a lasting impression on me. I believe that taking care of our people is the best way to care for our customers and the future of the business.
When you think back to joining Loffler in 2006, what’s changed the most?
It’s hard to answer that question without first acknowledging what hasn’t changed. While Loffler’s culture-driven foundation remains, the pace of innovation has accelerated. The expertise needed to serve our customers today is vastly different than 20 years ago. People may still associate Loffler with copiers and printers, but we’ve evolved into a leading technology partner delivering managed IT, cybersecurity, and AI solutions.
Why is now the right time for this transition?
We’re a much larger organization than we were even a few years ago. As we expand into new markets, our leadership structure must also adapt to have the right roles, capabilities, and focus areas in place to support the business’s future. This transition positions Loffler for long-term success while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit that made us successful.
How is the company preparing itself and its customers for what’s next?
Technology continues to evolve at an incredibly rapid pace, and our responsibility is to help customers navigate that change with confidence. We invest in leading technologies, expand our capabilities, and attract talented people who bring in new perspectives and fuel innovation. The team we have in place has the right mix of talent and passion to build on Loffler’s legacy.
