Dan Schumacher has been CFO at Protolabs since 2022, where he has overseen legal, data, investor relations, facilities, and more, in addition to his financial responsibilities. He has influenced several strategic moves, including Protolabs’ exit from Japan in 2022 because of underperformance, as well as consolidation of the company’s European operations. Following a CEO transition last year, the Maple Plain-based digital manufacturer went on to achieve four record-revenue quarters, and since Schumacher became CFO, Protolabs’ stock price has increased more than 50%. “[Schumacher] possesses a unique ability to not only see the vision for our continued success but also provides the critical input that forges the path to Protolabs becoming a $1 billion company,” says CEO Suresh Krishna.
