Jennifer Anderson joined CommonBond Communities in 2024, starting as interim CFO. “Jen’s ability to translate important financial information and its mission implications to staff, board, and outside stakeholders has been critical to the organization’s stability in a difficult time for affordable housing operators and those we serve,” CEO Deidre Schmidt says. Schmidt adds that the St. Paul-based organization’s financial performance has “strengthened significantly” since Anderson joined. Recently, she helped lead restructuring efforts and added real estate asset and risk management, HR, and IT to her purview. In preparation for 2026, Anderson also led the management team through its most inclusive annual planning and budgeting process to date.
