Seeking Editorial Intern for Twin Cities Business

Twin Cities Business is in search of an editorial intern to help report/write stories, assist with ongoing special projects, and fact-check content for both print and online (tcbmag.com).

Job Description: The paid position ($15.00/hour) is 20-25 hours per week and involves fact-checking, story development and pitches, participating in various editorial projects, and writing for Twin Cities Business (TCB) print and online. Interns develop research and reporting skills while getting an inside look at the workings of a print magazine and daily business news website. We want our interns to leave with experience in both print and digital publishing platforms, crucial in today’s job market. Recent former TCB interns went on to work at Star Tribune, ReorgJacksonville Business JournalHaworth Marketing + Media, and other publications and content companies.

Internship Dates: January start, duration 4-6 months, with possible extensions.

Location: TCB offers a hybrid work culture. Our office is open during regular business hours for employees who want to be in, but much of the work can be done remotely.

TCB is a local business publication with recurring regular events in the area, Twin Cities metro area candidates are preferred.

Requirements: You must have internet access for this position. Candidates must be pursuing or have graduated with a Journalism/media degree, or have related experience. Eagerness, willingness to learn, and interest in magazines and business is a must. Experience at a student or other publication is preferred. Local candidates strongly preferred.
