TCB’s 23 Most Read Stories in ‘23
Judging by our year-end web traffic numbers, angst over the future of work continues to permeate Minnesota’s business class. Senior editor Liz Fedor’s analysis on the state of remote work, published back in January, was our single most read story of the year by a wide margin.
“At the three-year anniversary of the pandemic, some employers are recognizing the erosion of their company cultures as well as diminished camaraderie of work teams because co-workers spend so little time together in person,” Fedor wrote.
That angst probably drove plenty of readers to our eighth most-read story, too: associate editor Winter Keefer’s report on Thomson Reuters’ move to a new, smaller office in Eagan.
Meanwhile, executive editor Adam Platt’s media column, Media Matters, earned two spots in the top 20, while his incisive look at the grim state of Uptown Minneapolis landed in 12th place.
Minnesota’s nascent cannabis industry also continues to drive clicks, with Keefer’s report on adult-use licensure landing in 21st place. It’s a new business segment we’ll be sure to follow up on in the year ahead.
As a potentially tumultuous presidential election looms in the new year, we’re gearing up to continue telling Minnesota business stories and documenting the personalities behind them. Stay tuned!
