Winter served as associate editor of TCB from January 2022 to March 2024, covering business news and trends, including startups and development. Born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Winter has reported on all ends of the Great Lakes state. She comes to Minnesota after three years with MLive/The Flint Journal. Winter has also reported for the Kalamazoo Gazette and MLive’s statewide education newsletter. She graduated in 2018 from Northern Michigan University where she served as editor-in-chief of the university’s student newspaper The North Wind.
