After a 32-year military career in the Minnesota Army National Guard and the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division, Neal Loidolt continues to serve at the helm of the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV). Since assuming leadership in 2017, Loidolt has raised the public profile of the St. Paul-based MACV and the needs of veterans, while strengthening community support. This has led to partnerships with housing developers, corporations, foundations, and media to take MACV closer to achieving its mission to provide Minnesota veterans and families with sustainable housing, employment, and legal aid. The organization has also expanded transitional housing capacity by 15 units and reduced women veteran homelessness by 50%. Most recently, Loidolt served on the Governor’s Task Force on Housing to address Minnesota’s housing challenges and provide recommendations.
