MSP Airport Named Best in North America Again
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was named best airport in North America for the third straight year by the trade group Airports Council International.
MSP shares the 2023 “Airport Service Quality” honor with New York’s LaGuardia Airport. The award, for the 25 to 40 million passenger category, is based on an ACI passenger survey of 595,000 travelers worldwide. The survey covers more than 30 experience indicators including check-in, security, wayfinding, cleanliness, shopping, and dining.
“Flying through MSP isn’t just transit; it’s an experience crafted with care,” director general of ACI World Luis Felipe de Oliveira said in a statement. “Success in the Airport Service Quality Awards underscores the ability to make every passenger have a memorable and enjoyable airport journey.”
MSP has received the title seven of the last eight years including a four-year streak from 2016 to 2019.
“Our entire airport community works hard to deliver top-notch customer service,” said Brian Ryks, CEO of the Metropolitan Airports Commission, which operates MSP. “This latest award affirms our continued commitment to providing exceptional airport experiences for our travelers.”
MSP ranks as the 19th busiest airport in North America, according to ACI. The airport served nearly 35 million passengers in 2023, an increase of 11% from 2022.
