A bride and groom wanted a wedding that had a transcultural and global spirit and featured elements of their lives spent in the Midwest and New York. The design of the invitations and other stationery was inspired by Mexican Loteria cards. The bridal bouquet, the groom’s boutonniere, and the chuppah featured fabric from the bride’s trip to India. Moroccan lanterns were used as centerpieces and over the dance floor. The dining room was lit by a Persian-patterned gobo light. The vegan bride chose caterers than specialized in vegetarian and vegan cuisine, including the bakery that made the wedding cake. The dinner was a family-style meal of tapas.
