Mission
Aeon’s vision is that everyone has a home and is interconnected within community. We do this by creating and sustaining quality affordable homes that strengthen lives and communities.
Hard-working families who are earning minimum wage; individuals with disabilities that prevent them from keeping steady work; and seniors on a fixed income—we are driven to help these individuals find and maintain home, which we believe is the foundation that makes all else possible.
Aeon is serving more than 5,000 residents by providing 2,700 affordable apartment homes in the Twin Cities. Aeon is the largest provider of housing for people who were formally homeless. The average annual income of Aeon households is $18,629.
Goals
Today we are facing a crisis: for every 100 extremely low-income renters in the Twin Cities there are only 36 units of available affordable housing.
We are driven by an ambitious goal: to triple our rate of development over the next five years to create and preserve 3,000 additional affordable apartment homes in the Twin Cities area.
