Since breaking the traditional restaurant format 15 years ago using full-time cooks as servers, Travail’s owners have never stopped innovating. They built Travail 2.0 in Robbinsdale with their own hands, turned it into Pig Ate My Pizza, and later opened Dream Creamery in Northeast Minneapolis with a line of signature ice creams. Though the pandemic crimped the launch of their state-of-the-art restaurant, it’s now buzzing. This marks a big expansion year for the team as they open a new Pig Ate My Pizza in Bloomington and relaunch two businesses they are taking over—Italian Eatery and the Graze food hall, both in Minneapolis.
