Marisa Williams moved to the Twin Cities in 2023 to lead the Girl Scouts beyond cookies and crafts. Her vision came to life in October with the launch of a leadership program for local high school girls focused on financial literacy, resume writing, and career exploration. Now that it’s launched—with grant money from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott—Williams is focused on bringing in corporate partners; Honeywell, for example, recently took 10 scouts to a space camp. “We all need to get really clear on who this next generation of potential leaders are and what exposure they need to be successful.”
