The Minnesota Vikings last played in a Super Bowl in 1977—four years before their new general manager, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, was born. Expectations are high for the New Jersey native, who earned economics degrees from Princeton and Stanford. He worked for the San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns before joining the Vikings, where he says his focus is to build a team that can consistently compete for championships. “We have been very intent on establishing a positive culture and assembling a group of guys who are not just talented players, but who also exhibit tremendous character,” he says.
