Justin Kristal started off in the music business managing a record store in Wayzata. After a stint with Sony BMG, he joined the sales team at Copycats Media in 2006. He’s been with the company ever since. Its parent, Plymouth-based ADS Group, has grown into the largest manufacturer of CDs in North America and has made major releases for Adele, and Beyonce´. The next chapter is a step into the past: vinyl. The company’s new Osseo vinyl pressing facility can produce millions of records a year. Despite the shift to streaming, Kristal says there’s plenty of demand for vinyl. “We’re busier than ever. Fans want the experience.”
