As a technical fellow for Medtronic, Yanina Grinberg works on pacemakers and implantable cardiac defibrillators. A 16-year veteran of the medtech giant, she drives innovation and impact at Medtronic, improving the lives of thousands of patients through her medical device contributions. She holds 16 patents and was a key member of a cross-disciplinary team that pioneered a novel validation method that saved Medtronic $10 million and three years of clinical study time on one project; this method continues to be used across Grinberg’s business units. Committed to sharing her knowledge with the technical community and young engineers, Grinberg is co-chair of Medtronic’s internal Science & Technology Conference’s Real Time Innovation session. She also mentors female engineers through the Women in Science and Engineering partnership between the University of Minnesota and Medtronic.
