Tim Marx has spent much of his life and career pursuing efforts to strengthen community and improve the lives of unhoused people—as city attorney and deputy mayor in St. Paul, as commissioner of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, and, most recently, as president and CEO of Catholic Charities. Since 2016, he has served on the board of Fairview Health Services and is vice chair for the civically driven Minneapolis-based nonprofit health care provider. He is also a board member for the Twin Cities Housing Alliance and for the National Alliance to End Homelessness in Washington, D.C. Marx has long helped build coalitions to advance economic vitality, address complex social problems, and promote racial and social justice. With more than 40 years of public service, he today serves as counsel at Winthrop & Weinstine.
