Steve Schleicher served for 10 years as a JAG Corps officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and then pivoted his scope of public service to the Winona County Attorney’s Office, the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, before joining Maslon. As chair of the Minneapolis firm’s investigations and white-collar defense group, Schleicher has grown the practice while mentoring rising attorneys. He “takes time to check in and develop a personal relationship with them that helps them grow and succeed,” says one mentee. In the past six months, Schleicher’s impactful trial work resulted in a complete defense verdict for the client Polaroid in a $300 million breach of contract case and a rare acquittal of federal defendant Said Farah in the Feeding Our Future trial in Minneapolis.
