The visionary behind the redevelopment of Breezy Point Resort on Pelican Lake is Robert Spizzo, who, in his more than 40-year tenure, has led continuous expansion and improvements including 750 campsites, 257 timeshare units, a convention facility, a 120-room hotel, five restaurants, three indoor pools, three 18-hole golf courses, and townhomes. Committed to driving year-round business, he overcame red tape to build an indoor ice arena. Today, the resort employs more than 130 year-round staff members, plus 550 seasonal. He’s known for supporting staff, surviving storms, and creating great memories for visitors.
