Following more than a decade both working in startups and supporting them through the Beta network and Twin Cities Startup Week (both of which he cofounded), Reed Robinson launched Groove Capital in June 2020. Since then, the firm has raised $7.5 million for its first fund. As of October, it had invested in more than 20 Minnesota-based startups. In May, Robinson co-founded the Groove Investment Group, a community of angel investors who invest in Groove Capital portfolio companies alongside the fund.
