An educator, researcher, global women’s health leader, and physician with more than 20 years’ experience in gynecologic oncology, Rahel Ghebre has committed herself to advancing cancer care for women. At the University of Minnesota Medical School, she teaches and serves as associate dean for faculty affairs. Over the past year and a half, Ghebre’s key initiatives as associate dean have included efforts to enhance faculty retention, strengthen recruitment and promotion of faculty in Minnesota, and expand support for professional growth. Meanwhile, she also serves as an expert panel member for the World Health Organization’s Technical Advisory Group on Integrated Clinical Care, providing guidance on strategies to strengthen clinical care pathways globally.
