Rachel Barrett has dedicated her practice to advocating for people dealing with pain, suffering, and loss. At Minneapolis firm Ciresi Conlin, Barrett represents plaintiffs in medical malpractice lawsuits. Most recently, she served as second chair in a trial in Minnesota federal court that resulted in a $111-million jury verdict for her client, a victim of medical malpractice. Before practicing, she served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Margaret Chutich and Judge Diane Bratvold of the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Following her clerkship, Barrett worked as an assistant Hennepin County public defender, where she gained valuable litigation experience. Beyond the firm, Barrett serves on the board of the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota; in 2021, she was appointed to the executive committee and named chair of the volunteer recruitment committee.Â
