In 2017, Priti Patel joined Great River Energy, where she oversees the Maple Grove-based utility’s electricity transmission business. She is also an executive sponsor of Great River Energy’s BIPOC+A employee resource group.

Patel serves on the board of directors for WIRES, an international trade association focused on improving North America’s high-voltage transmission infrastructure. In her leadership role at the Great Plains Institute, an organization seeking to transform the energy system to benefit the economy and environment, she has been providing input on DEI measures.
