Mitchel Chargo has been instrumental in advancing the Minnesota cannabis industry while leading Minneapolis firm Hinshaw & Culbertson’s cannabis law committee. He represents clients in opportunities related to adult recreational cannabis and low-potency hemp edible programs, as well as tribal-owned cannabis enterprises in connection with tribal adult recreational use and medicinal cannabis programs on and off tribal sovereign land. Chargo has also worked on amendments to Minnesota legislation and regulations related to medical cannabis. Notably, he represents a tribal government in its historic cannabis compact with the state of Minnesota, addressing his client’s cannabis operations outside the tribe’s sovereign land.
