Miquel McMoore is serving her second three-year term on the board of Summit Academy OIC, a nonprofit career and technical education institute in North Minneapolis. Founder and CEO of St. Louis Park-based executive recruiting firm kpCompanies, she has a special perspective of the value of gainful employment, which she has leveraged to recruit and onboard nearly half of Summit’s current board members. McMoore also contributed to the design and creation of Summit’s board management tool, which visually represents key performance indicators like succession planning, committee assignments, and diverse skills. As a member of Summit’s executive committee, she ensured a smooth transition between CEOs in 2022. Dedicated to Summit’s mission and passionate about developing individuals and providing opportunities, McMoore will take over as board chair in 2025.
