Since taking the helm as the Huntington National Bank’s Minnesota regional president in 2024, Michael Maeser has helped establish the financial institution as a state leader. Maeser, who previously led wealth management for Wells Fargo in the region, was hired in 2021 just as Ohio-based Huntington entered the state, to build the bank’s wealth management team in Minnesota. Since then, Huntington has worked to nurture dedicated teams supporting business lines, including in business banking and wealth management. In 2024, the bank, with Minnesota headquarters in Minnetonka, was ranked No. 4 in the Twin Cities by deposits and No. 2 in the state by number of SBA 7(a) loans issued—all progress led by Maeser.
