Marcia Ballinger co-founded St. Paul-based Ballinger Leafblad in 2014 to create an executive search practice focused on serving the civic sector. Over her 20 years of experience in executive search, she has led hundreds of leadership searches and has developed a distinct knowledge base of working with boards and complex governance structures. She also possesses unique expertise in working with executives who are transitioning from the corporate to the nonprofit sector. Each week, Ballinger provides pro bono counsel to leaders in all types of employment transitions. To date, she has served on 16 boards, including current board seats with Nexus Family Healing and Tubman. She is a former chair of Capella University and former vice chair of American Red Cross Twin Cities. She is a frequent speaker on executive search and career management and has authored three books.
