With her current role, Maggie Helms received her seventh promotion in 12 years with HealthPartners. Helms’ focus the past year and a half has been to build a culture aligned with HealthPartners’ AI vision. She has taken a sensitive, human-friendly approach to automation and AI, colleagues say, making it clear it’s not about replacing people but using technology to be more efficient. She also has led the modernization of HealthPartners’ data platform, moving key data and reporting to a cloud-based system, and she has led the design and launch of the HealthPartners Simplica NextGen Copay plan, a consumer-friendly health plan experience aimed at helping people find the right care, understand benefits, and see costs up front.
