As a Filipino American growing up in the 1980s and ’90s, Lorenz Esguerra credits his mentors for instilling in him the value of collaboration. Helping others is the throughline in a career that has included roles with Procter & Gamble, Bain & Co., Weber Shandwick, and his current role as CEO of St. Louis Park-based digital agency Folklore. He also serves as treasurer of The BrandLab, a nonprofit that supports diversity in advertising, marketing, and communications professions. In less than a year at Folklore, Esguerra has brought in clients that include leaders and innovators in health care, recreational vehicles, and finance, resulting in 40% growth in the firm. Esguerra believes that true diversity and inclusion lie at the heart of a thriving company and business economy, and he is actively involved in furthering opportunities for all young professionals.
