Determined to make a difference, Kyle Huerd enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2005 before finishing high school and did multiple overseas tours. After a service-disabling injury, he completed his enlistment with the Minnesota National Guard in 2013, then ventured into the civil engineering industry to found GeoWall Designs in 2018, along with ERS Midwest and GeoServices. He has endeavored to create a “one-stop shop” in Burnsville for engineering, construction materials, geotechnical exploration, litigation, and more. Huerd actively supports veteran initiatives such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Wounded Warrior Project, and the Til Valhalla Project. He has helped numerous veterans transition to civilian careers and has served as president of the Veterans Club at the University of Minnesota.
