As board secretary for Mill City Farmers Market, Jill Holter works to elevate the Minneapolis market’s profile. On the board since 2023, she taps into her more than 30 years of experience in marketing and community relations, supporting the nonprofit’s impact on small-scale producers and businesses by helping to showcase Minnesota’s vibrant local food culture. As well as serving on the executive committee and development committee, she volunteers as a market chef, overseeing the Mill City Cooks partnership between the market and the Wedge Community Co-ops to cook up a meal using seasonal market ingredients. Meanwhile, working as marketing director for Twin Cities Co-op Partners and the Wedge co-ops, Holter has transformed the Minneapolis co-op's brand while navigating industry challenges, including a recent cyberattack on major distributor United Natural Foods.
