Jada Lewis is the leader of Ramsey County’s civil division, where she supervises 16 attorneys and six paraprofessionals. She also acts as general counsel for Ramsey County, with more than 4,000 employees in 20-plus departments to provide a wide array of services to approximately 550,000 residents. In the past 14 months, Lewis not only managed complex litigation matters including engaging outside counsel and developing litigation strategies, but has developed trusting relationships with all her clients. Her role also involves formulating and implementing policies and procedures for the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office, drafting legislation, and appearing in court for oral arguments. Lewis is an integral player in the office’s DEI work, taking the time to facilitate monthly DEI discussions and be involved in diversity recruitment initiatives.
