As board officer for the Metropolitan Economic Development Association (MEDA), Hoyt Hsiao brings strategic vision to the advancement of economic equity. MEDA is dedicated to empowering underserved entrepreneurs through consulting, capital, and connections. Hsiao has served in multiple capacities for the Minneapolis-based nonprofit, including as board chair. He has been instrumental in shaping MEDA’s long-term direction, advocating for scalable programs that help minority-owned businesses grow and thrive. As president and CEO of Shaw-Lundquist Construction, he is also known for community advancement by way of such projects as the Guild Crisis and Recovery Center, a facility in Savage providing residential treatment and crisis stabilization services for Minnesotans experiencing mental health challenges.
