Gretchen Cepek goes beyond her role as general counsel and even influences the company’s international operations. Driving continual innovation throughout her 13-year tenure with Golden Valley-headquartered Allianz, Cepek has challenged her team to use data and analytics to achieve significant business results in ethics, compliance, and legal work. As a result, Allianz Life is using metrics to quickly identify potential fraud and elder financial abuse in a customer-focused way. Cepek serves on Allianz Life’s DEI council and is an executive sponsor of ASCENT, the Allianz AAPI employee resource group, and Allianz Global Race and Cultural Ethnicity Network. Under her leadership, Allianz Life created a pro bono legal program focusing on eviction expungements, business advice, and estate planning for seniors.
