Gregory Beilman served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1990–2014 with five deployments, including service at combat support hospitals and as the U.S. Central Command trauma system director. Beilman directly pulled from these experiences to co-lead M Health Fairview’s Covid-19 Command Center in Minneapolis. His leadership helped turn a 50-bed long-term acute care hospital into Minnesota’s first hospital dedicated to severe Covid-19 cases. As an associate dean at the University of Minnesota Medical School, he served as the lead for a grant program with the Uniformed Services University, Medical Alley, and Fairview Health. This program has provided $61 million to 24 collaborative teams to engage in health projects related to the Department of Defense.
