As a board member for Neighborhood Development Center (NDC) for the past four years, Erik Splett has provided critical legal support to individuals seeking asylum, veterans navigating complex systems, and children in the foster care system. Splett, an attorney at Fredrikson & Byron, is focused on supporting businesses in all stages of their work. He also supports NDC’s entrepreneurs—most of whom are low-income—by providing pro bono legal services through his law firm colleagues. Splett also supports the St. Paul-based nonprofit’s staff with legal advice as they consider new projects and expand business services. His work with individual clients and broader organizations reflects his belief that legal expertise should be accessible.
