Erik Romslo oversees all legal, regulatory, and SEC-related matters as chief legal officer, and facilitates all board functions as secretary at Northern Oil and Gas (NOG). Based in Minnetonka, NOG is the largest publicly traded, non-operated acquisition and investment company in oil and natural gas in the U.S. As a corporate attorney, his expertise is rooted in securities law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and oil and gas. Romslo joined NOG in 2011 as general counsel and secretary and added the executive vice president title in 2013, before being promoted to chief legal officer in 2020. Prior to joining the company, he practiced law in the Minneapolis office of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath and the New York City office of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.
