As president and CEO of MDI, a Minneapolis-based social enterprise that empowers individuals with disabilities through employment opportunities and training, Eric Black has been a driving force in building a more innovative and inclusive workplace for people of all abilities in Minnesota. One popular program he’s spearheaded is the Unified Work Academy, which supports people in their journeys to secure meaningful work at livable wages. Participants in the free program build important soft skills, seek job opportunities, and refine their resumes. Black also serves on the boards of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota Chamber Foundation, Twin Cities R!SE, Cookie Cart, and Twin Cities Black Affinity Network Development Day, and he is president of the Monitors Foundation.
