Coco Du is responsible for the development and execution of an inclusive and culturally responsive experience, member recruitment, programs, camp, and community engagement strategies that support the mission delivery of Girl Scouts Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys. Grounded by her experiences as a Chinese immigrant, Du empathizes with the experiences of community members who face the most systemic barriers. She’s spearheaded strategic recruitment and community engagement efforts, driving measurable growth in BIPOC youth membership across Minnesota and Wisconsin. She’s designed culturally affirming camps and events that center BIPOC youth, fostering connection and community building. She’s also led programming for more than 2,500 summer camps at five properties, launching BIPOC affinity sessions.
