As a human resources leader in the Twin Cities, Christopher Krusmark’s commitment to workforce equity has included more than 15 years on the board of Hired, including as chair the past five years. The Minneapolis-based workforce development nonprofit works with more than 4,000 job seekers in the metro, supporting them in skills development. At Hired, Krusmark has overseen a strategic plan process for growth, better aligned the nonprofit’s executive committee with best practices, and stewarded a multimillion-dollar gift from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott. Krusmark has also introduced a succession plan for board leadership and is remaining on the board another year as a resource. He is executive vice president and the chief retail and people officer for Sleep Number.
