Christine Esckilsen has made a huge impact on the culture at Piper Sandler by fostering development of employees at all levels and creating an inclusive environment. She leads a team of 33 in human capital and meetings and events, responsible for more than 1,800 employees in 60 offices throughout the world. In her 13 years as chief human capital officer for the Minneapolis-based investment bank, Piper has grown its revenue from $500 million to $1.5 billion and has completed seven acquisitions, adding 400 new employees. This past August, Piper acquired Aviditi Advisors, and Esckilsen and her staff integrated the entire team seamlessly. According to a peer, “She has an uncanny ability to create trust and respect with employees that the firm is negotiating with, whether that be related to employment agreements or integrating different cultures.” Esckilsen has served on the board of Catholic Charities since 2016 and currently chairs the governance committee.
