For the past decade, Charles Montreuil, senior vice president of total rewards at Best Buy, has been an invaluable board member of Project Success (PS), a Minneapolis youth organization. Montreuil engaged young professionals and graduate students at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management to spearhead PS’ engagement and outreach committee. The committee has since increased community support, from planning and executing fundraising events to leveraging social media outreach. He sits on the governance committee, helping oversee the orientation of new board members, recommending candidates for board positions, and conducting performance reviews of the executive director. For the past decade, Montreuil has also chaired PS’ Fielding Dreams event in partnership with the Minnesota Twins, which has raised more than $1 million.
