Brady Juell

Board president, Southern Valley Alliance

Description

Epitomizing the concept of servant-leadership, Brady Juell, police chief in Savage, devotes time to the Southern Valley Alliance, a Shakopee nonprofit dedicated to providing victims of domestic violence and their families with support, referrals, protection, and advocacy. Involved with the organization for 25 years, he’s been a board member since 2019 and board president since 2021. In that role, he helped spearhead a comprehensive 18-month initiative to ensure that every domestic violence victim underwent a lethality assessment. He also established protocols to provide enhanced protective services to those at higher risk. Juell oversaw the alliance’s relocation to a $2.2 million centralized headquarters adjacent to the Shakopee courthouse, bolstering SVA’s visibility, expanding victim accessibility and protection, and increasing the number of individuals receiving vital support.
