Andrea Hutchinson, who earned her doctorate in psychology in 2012, co-founded CARE Counseling in 2014 and has since led the St. Louis Park company to become a leader in the mental health field. CARE’s outpatient therapy practice now includes seven locations and will end the year with more than 160 providers. She has developed a comprehensive training platform to support clinicians in providing patients with higher-quality mental health care. From 2018 to 2020, CARE experienced revenue growth of 205.1%. Committed to supporting the increasing mental health needs in Minnesota, Hutchinson and her leadership team launched CARE More in fall 2020, a nonprofit community initiative to create systemic change in the mental health community. To date, the program has donated $75,000 to support BIPOC students in Twin Cities graduate university programs.
