Amanda Nelson joined nVent in 2022 as an individual contributor focused on managing industrial air conditioners at the electrical solutions company. Within a few months, she was promoted to lead nVent’s entire climate control product and service portfolio. In a short time, she built strong partnerships within the St. Louis Park-based company, defining a new product strategy and leading the engineering and product management workstream for nVent’s successful global acquisition of TEXA Industries, expanding the climate control portfolio. Since then, she’s built a completely new product team, driving product development for emerging markets and transitioning materials used in nVent’s cooling product to be more environmentally sustainable. Nelson’s efforts have resulted in better products, improved income, and a more sustainable future.
