After working for a large recruiting firm out of college, Alissa Henriksen co-founded Grey Search and Strategy with her husband, Lucas Henriksen, in 2008 and never looked back. Today, the Minnetonka boutique executive recruiting and consulting firm serves all major industries and works with Fortune 500s, startups, and organizations of all sizes in between. Grey oversaw 80 hires in 2024, and more than 40% of hires over the past three years were diverse. The firm also gives 8% of its profits to organizations and causes dedicated to those in need. Henriksen sits on the boards of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, Team Women, and the Chad Greenway Lead the Way Foundation. Her pledge to give back to communities is as central to the firm’s mission as client services. Henriksen’s goal is for Grey to eventually impact more than 1,000 companies with its client services and more than 25 organizations through philanthropic work.
