Abigayle Oxborough’s Learning at the Lake series has become a monthly professional resource for northern Minnesota employers, and her Women’s Leadership Summit has drawn more than 120 participants from 50-plus organizations. These are a couple ways Oxborough has built a leadership-development ecosystem in Grand Rapids, blending experiential education with evidence-based organizational practices—“an uncommon and highly effective model in today’s workforce landscape,” says M Consulting CEO Arthur Morrissey. Her initiatives have generated 100% leadership staff retention over the past five years; creation of the Hospitality Institute, geared toward service-industry talent; and customized programs in communication, conflict resolution, and strategic planning.
